Under service to the community, student council sponsored three charity collections, Lily Day, Rainbow Tag Day, and Muscular Dystrophy. Sophomores should offer special thanks for the council ' s successful ef- forts in opening a talk study hall to them. Sophomores will join the juniors and seniors in enjoying open campus next fall. Hopefully, next year ' s student council will carry through the programs begun this past spring. Ravenous pie eaters compete with the clock in the pie eating contest at Fun Nite. Numerous changes transform 1971 yearbook Yearbook editor Kim Hudson and assistant editor Brad Wright try to decide just what picture to use. ABOVE: Brad Wright gives advertising manager Kitty Cochran some moral support. BELOW: Kim Hudson assists Michele Liddell in sorting underclass pictures. Fall delivery, a larger book, and a new printer mark only a few of the changes made in the 1971 yearbook. Preparations for the Roundup began over summer vacation when arrangements were made to have the book printed by American Yearbook Company, located in Topeka, Kansas. Kim Hudson was chosen editor of the annual in August, and staff sign ups were held in September. Approximately 75 students expressed an interest in the various staff positions. The following students were named to the 1971 annual staff: assistant editor, Brad Wright; business manager, Gard Davis; circulation manager, Marion Hile- man; index editor, Jean Flowers; and advertising manager, Kitty Cochran. Other positions went to Jennifer Grismer, academics; Michele Liddell, under- class; Paula Walker and Jani Wren, student life; Al Cubbage, sports; Terri O ' Dell and Peggy Nitzke, picture editors; and Cindy Morgan and Margy Hoffman, copy editors. Larry Branda, Cindy Morgan, and Kathy Tesdell take their jobs seriously. Jani Wren and Paula Walker have the next to impossible job of covering student life.
