is productive Homecoming, the sophomore mixer, and open houses are all under the juris- diction of Student Council, and were all handled with equal enthusiasum. The open finals idea is now a part of the regular schedule of finals week thanks to effort from the Election Committee and the rest of the council. There were three successful ADC par- ties by Community Service Committee. The children enjoyed the fall picnic, the Thanksgiving party and the Christmas party (where Santa even made a guest appearance) . By facing problems and tackling them head-on, a great deal of individual responsibility was obtained. Fall Court: ROW 1 — Sue Kerns, Sara Mark, Chief Justice Sally Bryan, Jan Stone, 2 — Casey Camp- bell, Sally Willet, Sue Long, Ron Castellano. Richard Book. Fall council Hard work and joint effort seemed to trigger the fall Student Council ' s many activities. As a result, the activities and projects of the council turned out to be well planned and most successful . Under the leadership of Jerry Lei- bold, with a great deal of help from Al Cubbage, first vice-president; Scott Wallace, second vice-president; Cat hi Reid, secretary; and Sally Bryan, court justice, the student body gained many new privileges and fostered several new ideas . The Council helped to institute the open campus concept so that it has now become an effective alternate to study halls. Sue Long and Dee Anne Rhodes assist their ADC children into the air. Fall officers Cathi Reid, secretary; Jerry Leibold, president; Scott Wallace, second vice-president; Sally Bryan, chief justice; and Al Cubbage, first vice-president. 26 Pondering Student Council problems are Jerry Leibold, Cathi Reid, and Mr. John Viviano, advisor.

Spring student council yields new privileges V Students and children entertain each other with creative abilities at an ADC party. Spring Student Court: ROW 1: Mary Ingberg, Kerry Brrtain, Jan Stone, Norm Rosen, Doug McKenzie, Clay Copple, HOW 2: Ron Castellano, ROW 3: Sue Long, Brad Mallon, Teri O ' Dell, Pat- ti Tiffin. Spring Student Council was quite active in school affairs during second semester. It was headed by Ron Da- vidson, president; Steve Larson, first vice-president; Charlie Townsend, second vice-president; Mary Neu- mann, secretary; and Ron Castellano, chief justice. The board and commit- tee chairmen worked to gain approv- al of various programs benefiting both students and the school. Some of the proposed actions achieved were: three new bike racks, a revised course catalogue, a new attendance system next fall and revision of the pass fail program, and possibility of establish- ing a student-faculty lounge.
