Students Discover the Wide World Science at Roosevelt plays an important part in informinK the student of the world around him and in adequately preparing him for the more difficult science courses in college. Almost all students take biology as sophomores, and a lar e percentage also ko on to enroll in chemistry and physics. Roosevelt has some of the finest science laboratory facilities in the state, and throujrh these labs students develop the habit of formal problem solution.

Teachers encourage their students to demonstrate their knowledge and research in the annual Hawkeye Science Fair, in which several Roosevelt students are perennially entered.
