HISTORY DEPARTMENT I want YOU! ! ! Roosevelt ' s history department has been instrumental in developing a new social studies curriculum for the city school system. Members of our faculty have led committees that have chosen textbooks and planned organization for much of the new curriculum. History teachers are also working enthusiastically in selecting the many new social science books for our new library. FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT Our foreign language teachers, with the important aid of our year-old language laboratory, provide an essential element in the development of a well- rounded student: a knowledge of the language and culture of other peoples. Successful study of these languages has enabled TRHS students to attain excellent scores in national competitive ex- aminations and College Board language tests and to participate in the AFS exchange program.
