Q The 1954 Roosevelt High School annual is dedicated to the students and faculty of Roose- velt in the hope that they will carry on the tra- ditions and spirit of the Great Roughrider to the best of their abilities. An inspiration to everyone was the life of Mr. William Koch, beloved biology teacher, who passed away May 4, 1954. Mr. Koch came to Roosevelt when the school opened in 1923. Al- though reserved and quiet in his manner, he exhibited the highest degree of integrity, honesty, and loyalty-three qualities which made him one of the most respected teachers at Roosevelt. Let it be said that Mr. Koch brought out in his own way the true character of Roosevelt. Through such dedicated lives the prestige and good stand- ing of a school are determined.
