T 0 The Graduating Class of 1955 lt was not an accident that Chinese scholars of antiquity, men of great wisdom in human affairs, designated the symbol representing crisis to be the same one, also, to mean opportunity, These philosophers knew then, as we students of History know now, that the greatest social movements benefiting mankind, or man, originated in a period of general or individual crises which were clearly recognized as opportunities for bold and courageous action. Unlike the graduates of yesteryear, who entered manhood and woman- hood in comparative tranquility, your post-graduate days shall be times of difficult decision in a social order of uncertainty caused by prevailing unem- ployment, unstable family life, and the conflicting ideologies of the Atomic Age. We urge you, therefore, willingly to accept the challenging opportunities of the present crises in our civilization. Our devoted Faculty and Board of Education have exercised their best efforts for your mental, moral, spiritual and physical growth. You are well equipped to face the life and living be- fore you as you leave our halls of learning and the bosom of your Alma Mater. Live thenl The fullest life is to be yours if you ' 'Ta ke Ta ke Ta ke Ta ke Ta ke Ta ke Ta ke Ta ke Ta ke time to work-it is the price of success. time to think-it is the source of power. time to play-it is the secret of perpetual youth. time to read-it is the foundation of wisdom. time to be friendly-it is the road to happiness. time to dream-it is hitching your wagon to a star. time to love and be loved-it is the privilege of the gods. time to look around-it is too short a day to be selfish. time to laugh-it is the music of the soul. But above all take time to pray-it is the best gift of all. The fullest life cannot be yours until you have asked for Almighty Guidance from Him who is the source of all that is beautiful and good. Build your life on the foundations of indestructable Christian principles and erect a monument that will withstand the ravages of time for all eternity. We extend our very best wishes to each of you for your success and happiness. Sincerely, A. W. ROSS. PAGE SEVEN
