ENQlNaEER.lNG DEPARTMENZV Liqenant J. Brandon Cornes Pasadena, UnrtagwS y E.ngiln5e9ring Offices Lieutenant Cornes is a native of Baltimore, MD. He graduated from The Gilman School in 1997. After high school, he attended the United States Naval Academy where he played lacrosse and majored in Economics. Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the United States Naval Reserves as an Ensign. A Lieutenant Cornes attended Surface .Warfare Officer School in Rhode Island and Legal Officer School in Virginia in preparation for his Divisional Officer tours onboard the USS UNDERWOOD CFFG 363. He did a combined Divisional Officer tour as the Auxiliaries Officer and then Navigator where he deployed twice to the 5th fleet AOR. For shore duty, Lieutenant Cornes attended the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA vmlrrereheg earned his Masters in Business andAdministration KMBAJ in Finalncital. lVla.riagement. While at NPS, he completed Joint Professional Military Education.Phase l. After receiving orders to USS ROOSEVELT CDDG 805+ as Chief Engineer he attended Surface Warfare Officer Department Head School and AEGIS pipeline. He reported onboard USS ROOSEVELT in March, 2008.
