South Dakota History, and career education, freshmen and sophomores are given a broad background of events that shaped life today. Freshmen studies included a semester of American Government, one quarter of South Dakota History, and one quarter of career education. Sophomores selected their course of studies by choosing to take a year of European History or one semester of sociology and one semester of anthropology.
