This is the student government, a body of people ded- icated to the duties to which they were assigned, making a better school for you, the students. This select group represents every homeroom and every club recognized by the council. As soon as we all return to classes in the fall the student council begins the grind of the years work ahead of them. The year 57-58, saw the council bring to light such activities a s the Homecoming, Christmas Dance, gymnastics assembly, for the first time, aschool carni- val, made available to the students, jackets sporting an RHS emblem, and sponsored this year, also for the first time, a Faculty Day. These will be the leaders of our community, state and National government of tomorrow.

Homecoming 1957 The second annual Homecoming of Romulus was held November 1, 1957. The evenings festivities began with a football game between Romulus and Willow Run. The Homecoming proved to be an added incentive spurring the Romulus eleven on to victory. The Queen, Janet Bunnell, was crowned by last year's Queen, Dorothy Muck, during the half-time ceremonies. Queen Janet's escort was Terry Hoagland. The attendants were: Senior, Brenda Hill, escorted by Jerry Rusang Junior, Sandy Jackson, escorted by Walter Goekelg Sophomore, Susan Dombek, escorted by Julius Szabog and Freshman, Delores Huntley, escorted by Dennis Constantino. The Principal, Mr. McAdam, presented the Queen with a bouquet of roses and Student Council President, Don Brooks, presented her with her robe. Attendants to the Queen received a bouquet of mums from their escorts. Following the game, the Homecoming Dance was held in the Romulus High School Gym. The Queen and her court reigned over the dance.
