In years to come may you turn through these pages and recall the happy months at old R.H,,S. 4 A 1 V7 it rl 1 A- C- LOY BARBARA SMITH County Superintendent of Schools School Secretary ROBERT B. HARPER Principal ' a Congratulations, graduates. This is your commencement. It is only the beginning. Carry on. Live in the present and the future. Don't think backward. When you stop thinking forward you are through. The only thing you will gain by saying nothing, doing nothing and being nothing is, perhaps, avoid some criticism. It is my sincere wish that your secondary school experience has been pleasant and that as a result of it you are much better prepared to carry on in your chosen field of work and citizen in our society. One of the greatest contributions you can make is to help make it possible for those following you to have even better opportunities than you have had. The best investment any society can make is to pro- vide for its youth. It has been nice to have you in our schools and I wish you well in all your undertakings. A. Clinton Loy, Superintendent Hampshire County Schools 0 Q h Iam happy to extend my best wishes to the graduating class of 1958. This annual will help you remember with enjoyment the good times you have had with your friends, and withsatisfaction the profit- able hours you have spent in the classroom. Fruits cannot be grown without the planting of seeds. Great leaders do not arise spontaneously in the midst of a people, they come be- cause they have been nourished and developed by conditions and in- stitutions such as the high school. We of the faculty hope we have helped to plant within you the seeds of scholarship, ethics, service, leadership, and citizenship, so that you may make worthwhile contributions to your school, your commun- ity, and your country.
