T reasurer, Alpha Tri-Hi-Y TRI-HI-Y CLUBS The Alpha and Beta Tri-Hi-Y Clubs of our school are organizations for high school girls. They stand for the development of their members in Spirit, Mind, and Body and serve three main training agencies, the Home, Church, and School . Their obiective is to seek, to find, and to share. Their slogan is Pure thoughts, Pure words, Pure Actions . The platform of Tri-Hi-Y clubs is self-improvement, Christian fellowship, and United service. For school service the clubs have done such proiects as putting free ink in the homerooms, conduct- ing clean-up campaigns, sponsoring teen talks and decorating the goal posts for football games. As community service, they helped the needy with baskets of food at Thanksgiving and with baskets and gifts at Christmas. They helped in various community drives such as the March of Dimes, Community Chest, and Cancer Fund. Also, these girls have carried magazines to the Floyd County Old Folks Home and preesented programs there. At Christmas the Beta Club gave o Christmas party for the children at the Open Door Home. Both clubs helped in the Red Cross booth during the Coosa Valley Fair.
