We hardly recognized her. But a few minutes later we all heard a terrible noise and what do you suppose it was? Why Velma Pir- ker came in shouting ' I left my lipstick at home. What will I do without it! Just then we saw at the door a tall fig- ure which had to stoop to enter but when he had come in we all recognized him to be our old friend, Billie King. After spelling, Miss Maxwell asked how many words each had missed and to our surprise every one IH the room had made a hundred except James Byars and he had missed every wo1d in the lesson In Biology Mr Tucker asked a number of questions and who do you suppose ans wered them but Louise Sewell In English Davltte Gaston recited his les son Without stuttering and Edna Denton yelled out Miss Maxwell I spent two hours on my English lesson last night so you had better ask me a question. I forgot to tell you that in history Gladys Spann sat so still that we hardly knew she was there.
