Valedictorian Robert Manfred, having attained a scholastic average of 97.0%, is the Valedictorian of the Class of 1976. Robert has been active in many school activi- ties. He has received a Letter of Commendation and a Regents Scholarship. He was a scholarship winner at the Syracuse University Citizenship Education Conference and a two-time winner of the Phillip Tosti Memorial Essay Contest. Robert has also been an active member in the National Honor Society, R. F. A. Varsity Tennis Team. Block “R” Club. Col- gate Seminar, Student Government, Senior Play crew, Coach and Referee in Local Youth Basketball, In ad- dition he is a member of the Bicentennial Steering Committee of R. F. A. and is listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students’ . Robert has applied to Cornell for the coming year.

Salutatorian Dennis Turner, the Salutatorian of the Class of 1976, closely followed Robert with an academic average of 96.0. Dennis has been very active as a member of the senior class. He is a member of the R. F. A. Track and Wrestling Teams, the Spanish Club, Chorus, Nation- al Honor Society, Black Student Union, International Club, Student Government, Director of his church choir and Colgate High Ability Seminar. In addition, he has received a Letter of Commendation from the National Achievement Scholarship program for Outstanding Negro Students and organized the elementary school Spanish and French tutorial program. Dennis has ap- plied to Georgetown University.
