Valedictorian Mary Anne Carletta achieved an average of 97.9 to become the 1973 valedictorian. She is a member of National Honor Society, and also an active member of Library Council and LOVE Club. She holds the office of secretary of Chess Club and Rostra. Mary Anne would like to attend Radcliffe College, Colgate University, the State Uni- versity at Oswego, Wells College, or Cornell University next fall. Salutatorian Michael Berthold, as salutatorian of the Class of ‘73, attained an average of 97.4. He is a member of National Honor Society and Colgate Seminar. Mike also enjoys being a member of the Varsity Bowling team, Ecology Club, Latin Club, and Science Club at R.F.A. Mike would like to attend the State Uni- versity at Albany, Colgate University, or the University of Rochester when he leaves Rome Free Academy.

Kim Sasenbury—Pres., Mr. Kelly—Advisor Now that we've survived the trials and tribulations of public school we're ready to face the outside world. Our hopes are high and our goals are many. As each of us go our separate ways, either to an establishment of higher learning or to some line of employment, we hope success will be on our side. Our years at RFA are indelibly etched in our minds. Initi- ation, the annual bonfire, Fall Weekend, our Thanksgiving drive, PSAT’s, Merit Scholarship Exams, our Junior Prom, class rings, Regents Scholarship Exams, College applications, our Senior Ball, and finally our Graduation; it’s a lot to think about, but they are all memories that will not soon fade from our minds. RFA has played an important part in shaping our lives for the future and we hope that someday our paths will bring us back to the hallowed halls of our old Alma Mater. Pat Woodward—Treas.
