History Teachers The History Department here at Rome Free Academy strives to develop a know- ledge of past civilizations and cultures in order to help each student better un- derstand our present society. Sophomores and juniors take World History and American History respec- tively. For seniors, history becomes an elective subject. Offered in the twelfth year are government, sociology and economics. The aims of the history department are to help us to become more responsible citizens and to be able to cope with our ever-changing world. Flexibility is reflected in the structure of vocational and non-vocational curricula at Rome Free Academy.
