Its 113 members donate their free periods to serve the students and faculty of R.F.A. No experience is need- ed, just a willing mind and a helpful hand. The Francis Bellamy Chapter of the Future Teachers of America at R.F.A. is sponsored by Mr. Irwin Brown. The club consists of students who are interested in the teaching profession as a career. It offers poten- tial teachers appropriate experience to help them develop readiness for college programs of teacher education. Among the organization’s ac- tivities are: a student teaching program. a school dance to raise funds for a field trip to one of the State Universities of New York Teachers’ Colleges, and an annual banquet will be held at the end of the year.

A Cappella Choir This year the A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Mr. William Moonan. partici- pated in the Christmas assem- bly concert. The sroup has per- formed for two junior high school assemblies, the Spring Concert of the high school music departments, the N. Y.S.S. M. A. Festival Contest, and the Bacca- laureates.
