Mr. Franklin Pelkey, director of student functions, is the supervisor of this group. This year the association has sponsored the annual Polio Drive, dances, the Talent Show, and plans for graduation. Student Council Under the direction of Mr. Franklin Pelkey, the Student Council, consisting of homeroom chairman and Student Association Officers, is one of the most in- fluential organizations at Rome Free Academy. Ideas proposed by the cabinet are brought to the council where each homeroom has equal representation in voting on these ideas. This year the student council has carried out its usual business and has also sponsored a Muscular Dystrophy Dance, ticket selling for the Senior Play, and helped to keep the school in good operating conditions.
