THEME Our theme is the Heavens, the infinite expanse of emptiness, illuminated by the sparks of a million-million stars, w hich constitutes the fabric of our universe Dominated by eternal silence, disturbed neither by gamboling comet nor by probing fingers of an inquisitive mankind, it makes a worthy arena in which to humble the over-exultant shouts of the proud. We should rightly rejoice in our accomplishments here at R.F.A., which, we feel, have been worthy of note during these past three years, but the immensity—and the cold indifference of the world we are now entering, bids us to be proud “respectfully,” rightly discerning our own lack of experience The world will give most of us the badge of “average Joe,” while, perhaps, some fortunate few are destined for greatness. It is not for us, now, as newcomers, to judge. Certainly many talents have been displayed by the class of 1960 which, with luck, and diligence, will carry them to the stars For all, we hope, this year’s De-O-Wain-Sta will be a flash across the sky, highlighting the activities and achievements of a star-studded youth....
