Lyndon H. Strough “Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays bis part.” Early this year Mr. Lyndon Strough, Superin- tendent of the Rome Public Schools, opened our new theater for further performances when he spoke at the first assembly in our new auditorium. Mr. Strough inspired the students to work toward higher goals and complimented them on the goals they had already achieved. This was not the first, nor will it, we hope, be the last time that he has given the students a portion of his wisdom gained through his many years of working with them. Attacking the job of improving our schools and facilities the Board of Education of Rome has seen the task completed that has taken many years of planning and hard work. Their dedicated effort to equip us with these fine facilities has been appreciated by these who have already used them and will be appreciated for years to come by many others. The Board of Education Left to Right: Mr. Destito, Mr. Roe, Mr. Bush, Mr. Wolf, President; Mr. Herbst, Mr. Edkins, Mrs. Pendorf.

DEDICATION We, the Class of 1959, are proud to dedicate our year- book to MRS. ROBERT HUBBELL. This we do in appre- ciation for her interest in the pupils of RFA and in the school itself. She is always available to the students for advice on prom decorations, posters, and any others matters which might need the attention of a member of the faculty. She greets everyone with a ready smile and a sincere wish to help. Her many hours of patient assistance to the De-O-Wain- Sta Art staff have been a big help and sincerely appreciated. She is more than just an instructor; she is a friend.
