—2ZOT VEK H OMIM K§ Zz 12C The unfinished symphony is now nearly completed. Students have had the joy of being on the scene as each new part of the building opened. With the beginning of school in September, students found just the first half of the second floor of the classroom section partially done. They didn’t seem to mind the absence of heat and light for the first few months. In November the ramp was completed. The second semester found seniors, juniors, and sophomores again attending full-day sessions with many other rooms of the addition opened for classes. Still under construction are the two gyms, the music rooms, the auditorium, the technical shops, the nurse’s quarters, and the headquarters for driver education.

“Seven Lonely Days.’’ An unexpected seven-day vacation was enjoyed by all, except the sick ones, of course, when Rome was hard hit by the Asian flu, The schools closed when even the teachers were absent. With the beginning of the new semester in January, R.F.A. went back to full-day sessions. Until traffic was routed, we had to walk sideways down the halls, and dance like a boxer to keep our white shoes out from under various other feet. The seniors really appreciated having the sophomores back. Their return gave back to the seniors their normal position of superiority at the top of the heap. “You'll Never Get Away.” 22
