CLASS OFFICERS Left to Right: Johanna Ruby, Treasurer; Jean Duffy, Secretary; Stanley Gorski, Vice-President ; James Atkinson, President. HISTORY CLASS OF 1955 The class of 1955, under the guidance of Miss Katherine Clarke, began its sophomore year with the election of class officers. We elected Gerald Malorzo, President; James Atkinson, Vice-Presi Martha Boriack, Treasurer. In our first year we decorated dent; Johanna Ruby, Secretary; and the gym for the first of our two sophomore dances. As the Christmas season neared, decorating the halls was carried out by hammer-laden students with appropriate ideas. Toward the end of our sophomore year we held elections for junior officers. Donald Jones was chosen as our president, with James Atkinson as vice-president. Elaine Lauri and Jean Duffy were selected secretary and treasurer, respectively. We held our Junior Prom November 20, 1953. “Starry Night” was our successful theme. Soon after we chose our class ring. Our final year at R.F.A. began with the prep- aration of material for the 1955 De-O-Wain-Sta, and the play cast began rehearsing for “Dear Ruth” under the direction of Mrs. Bates. With Moving-Up Day, the Senior Ball, Class Night, and finally Graduation Day behind us, we drew to a close our high school days.

IN MEMORIAM ANN MARIE PINTI November 13, 1954 October 16, 1937 We, the class of 1955, dedicate this page of our De-O-Wain-Sta in loving memory of Ann Marie Pinti. She was one of our outstanding classmates and a friend to all of us. Her fun-loving spirit, her kindness, and her smiling face, will light our memories in the years ahead. The suddenness of her going has left an empty place in our graduation ranks— and in our hearts. But we like to think she has gone on to a higher school and a greater graduation. Ann Marie is missed by all of us, and her memory will never be forgotten.
