BASEBALL First Row-Dick Rabbitt, Lynn Van Aman, Eddie Linthicum, Virgil McDonald, Jack Ward, Duane Stewart, Bernard Chapman, Jack Smith. Second Row-Mr. Perry, Bob Browning, Tim Ackles, Robert Conley, Jerry Racht, Claude Hoffman, Russell Ramer, Jon Baker, and George Kerr. This year was the first year we have had baseball at Rome City since the year of forty-two. The boys seemed to like it real well and played hard at it. They had a fair season by winning one game and losing two and tying one. The team was led by Chapman, who had a very good batting average of .500. Conley was second in batting with a .420 average.
