At first these 29 freshmen seemed to be lost all the time but toward the end of the semester they became settled in their ways and seemed to know their way around. It was held October 18, 1939, in the new gymnasium, which was decorated with weird fig- ures to give the atmosphere the right effect. A program was given with all the Sophomores par- ticipating. Along with this program were given many prizes for such as the funniest, cleverest, and prettiest masked. After the chairs were re- moved from the floor, behold a miniature car- nival took place in which everybody took part in trying his skill against the many games, bingo, baseball, fishing in the fishpond and others. In the late hours everybody disappeared, but the Sophomores who were well satisfied because it was a success. The Sophomores wish to thank all who helped to make their carnival a success.
