e (I i c a ti This record in words and pictures is dedicated to Lyman Huntington. Without the dapper head of the Rollins Photographic Department there would he no TOMOKAN worthy of your interest. This little man with the ever-present camera, quiet manner and bright bow tie hasn ' t restricted his efforts to the TOMOKAN. Every campus publication owes a debt to Lyman Huntington. And so do many students and alumni. Graduates of the Huntington School of Art —pho- tography is a fine art to Lyman— have gone on to jobs with national publications. Others are still learning their art with an eye to the future. Still more are being taught a hobby they will always enjoy. Lyman ' s studios have expanded from a dismal hole in the wall in Carnegie Hall to the present office and darkrooms in the Student Center. As the campus became aware of the opportunities. Lyman ' s work load jumped. Last year he began classes in photograph) ' . Despite long experience Lyman has the trademark of a true artist— he is still learning the business. And Rollins students are learning right along with him. But this easy-going cameraman— who holds a pilot ' s license and repairs television sets as a sideline— means more to Rollins students than just another instructor. He is father confessor to publications. He is a willing listener and clearing house for campus gripes and campus jokes. He leans back and smiles as stu- dents pour out their triumphs and their failures. To those who know him Lyman is even more. He is just a wonderful guy. '
