Youth is a fleeting moment of joy in the morning of our life, a moment quickly felt, stubbornly endured, and totally cherished. This is the time when we try to catch life; for youth, catching life is not difficult. This moment offers us unlimited opportunities to learn about life. We find new fields of interest through our daily studies. Everywhere we go, we sense the importance of friendship. After school, we experience the satisfaction of fulfilling our responsibilities, whether through work on the ball field, in clubs, or in activities. To capture every facet of this exciting life, we are constantly on the move. Sometimes we become so busy that we lose sight of what we really want and need in life. So we stop for a moment and look out a v indow, or listen to the choir practicing, or just run our hand along the smooth wood of a desk; and in our minds, a dream takes shape, a dream with a plan for our future years. Despite our moments of dreaming, youth is a time of realistic living. We find that to reach our goals, we must first overcome many difficulties. We experience the dilemma of adjusting to society while still remaining an individual. But we take comfort in the knowledge that there is always someone to help and encourage us—a parent, a teacher, a friend. But so quickly another year, with its own problems and joys, comes to an end. Before we realize it, the last chapter in the textbook is completed, and the last class has ended. Many of us will look back again next year to ponder our questions, endure our problems and cultivate new friendship. Others of us will leave Rolling Prairie to undertake greater responsibilities, experience new challenges, and increase our understanding of the world in which we live. But we will never forget this year at R.P.H.S. this fleeting acquaintance with sunshine and rain, dewdrops and frost THIS MOMENT OF YOUTH
