Varsity cheerleaders: Shelley Travis, Sue Vlamis, Cathy Farinella, Milo fthe mustang-Don Brynelseni, Lisa Menas, Lori Miller, Diane DeRosa, lGlenn Brettner-chauffeur.l Spirit Week, the homecoming parade, game, and dance took in a generous Slice of Life in the fall. During the week preceding homecoming, mittens, bandanas, clashing clothes, and tee-shirts were each worn on designated days to display Mustang pride. Powder puff, band, cheerleading, and football practices along with float construction and hall decorating kept everyone away from their homework. On Friday, students and faculty wore school colors and seniors distinguished themselves by wearing hats. Droamg Como Truc As students assembled in the decorated gym for coronation, whispers of, Who'd you vote for? , and, Are you going to the dance? , traveled through the crowded bleachers and rows- of chairs. Finally, as anticipation mounted, the names were drawn from the envelope. Applause echoed through the gym as a teary-eyed lan Lindabauer was crownd queen. jerry Green accepted the king's crown in the absence of Tom Choice. The theme Sweet Emotions set the tone for the dance on Saturday night, named thus, because sweet emotions are such an important Slice of Life. Senior jerry Green swings to the beat of the band.
