0185815583 TAKE HKS PARK TBURHEY The first tournament championship in Mustang wrestling history was bravely fought for, and gallantly won at Lake Park this season. Senior Rick Lobocki and junior Kirk Lucchesi both won first place standings to help gain the championship. Varsity Coach john Ellis commented The championship was very sweet because it typified Mustang Pride: maximum desire and effort along with complete team unity enabled an under-dog group of Mustangs to achieve a team championship. ln our opinion, that is what Mustang Pride is all about, that is, a team may not be the best team in the conference, or in a tournament, but on occasion a team can rise to heights that make them the best that they can be. For the rest of the season the Mustangs were always just a pin away from victory. A 21 to 22 loss to Saint Pats tThe Catholic league champsl was one discouraging example. The Mustangs wound up the season with a dishearting 4 win 11 loss record. Freshmen Ed Peszek had thirteen takedowns to his credit. 66 Senior co-captain Rick Lobocki-one of two champs at Lake Park Heavyweight wrestler junior Bill Chauncey scores one of his six season pins Three year varsity veteran-junior Scott Mattix
