The bowlers captured a third place finish in both Conference and Districts. They attained an over-all record of 10 wins and 2 losses. The successful year was the result of Lisa Wright's 152 average and senior captain Petrice Costello's 147 point contribution. According to Coach loan lensen, next year's team should prove to be very experienced, since everyone except Nancy Budde and Petrice Costello will return to compete. BOWLING TEAM: Front Row-P. ARSITY TEAM: WINS, IZ LOSS 3 In spite of all the hard training and the individual effort put forth by the girls' basketball team, the season's record wasn't too exciting. The Girls' Varsity team won only four of the sixteen games, while the junior Varsity team finished the season with seven wins and seven losses. Carol johnson, a junior on the Varsity Team performed extremely well in a game against Hoffman Estates, in which she scored a high of twenty-two points. This year was a challenge with a young team and little experience, explained Coach Tom Peterson. I'm looking forward to a better season next year. The girls' badminton team practiced nightly to improve their high and low serves and drop shots, and it paid off. The girls earned an impressive record of 11-1 and a 2nd place in the Mid-Suburban League CMSLJ. Two key per- formers, sophomore Dawn Wiebe and senior Libby Iturralde, exhibited exceptional performances throughout conference play. Second singles player, Dawn Wiebe cleared a 2nd place in MSL conference. First singles champ, Libby lturralde received the honor of joining the newly formed Conference Badminton team.
