From Tcl wwcurw To Sccilpel Are you still in bed at 7:45 in the morning? Well, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, zero hour and first hour everyday, 26 Advanced Placement CAPJ Biology students work in depth on college level labs and lectures. Students spend 4 hours a week on lab procedures. The other 3 hours of the week are devoted to lecture material. This class studies material similar to that of a regular biology class, but on a college level. The minimum requirements needed for enrollment in this class are as follows: at least a B average in previous science classes, consent of the instructor, and a previous chemistry course. Students must also be prepared to spend long hours in the lab and be ready to take numerous notes. One of the main reasons students take AP Biology is because they hope to obtain college credit. Depending upon the results of the student's AP Biology test score and the policy of the college he is planning to attend, he may receive up to 8 hours of college credit andfor be allowed to by-pass freshman biology. The other main reason that students take AP Biology is because many plan to major in science related occupations and they hope that this class will be very beneficial.
