IMZIICS CANCER 23 , March 21 - April 20 If your sign is Aries, your symbol is the Ram, but there is nothing sheepish about you! You are noted to be independent, brave and daring and therefore would be willing to supervise the cafeteria all by your lonesome. Your quick temper and tendency to act first and ask questions later contribute to your authoritative manner. Activity should be your middle name, for your two favorite questions are What's happening? and Where's the action? All in all, you are best described as rambunctious! Hint for the student: Aries gets bored and impatient listening to people's problems-so don't give long winded excuses! TIAUHYUS Q April 21 - May 20 As a highschool faculty member, you are really in the right line of work, for as a Taurus, you are practical, patient, perservering and productive. A bit on the opinionated side yourself, even the very obstinate student soon learns he is unable to bully you. Food is your major weakness, and you are constantly fighting the call of the cafeteria. For the most part you go about your business slowly but surely, proceeding with utmost caution, texcept maybe when you see redlb. Hint for the student: Taurus has a long fuse , but if you should be so foolhardy as to push him too far-LOOK OUT! GEMVNIINII ' May 21 - lune 21 Gemini, you are the life of the party! Charming and vivacious, you love to talk, talk, talk. Thanks to your quick wit and conversive talent, your lectures keep students alert, their attention sharply focused. Your double nature allows you to accomplish many things all at once. In fact, one Gemini teacher was seen adjusting an overhead projector with one hand and writing on a transparency with the other, all the while discussing that day's assignment! All in all, you're a real gem! Hint for the student: If your teacher's sign is Gemini, you're in for a good time-capitalize on it! Do your best to talk your Gemini teacher into Friday breaks. You bring the food and let him bring the drinks! 9 l Q Iune 22 - july 22 Although as a native of Cancer you rarely go about pinching people-you do have some crabby characteris- tics. This does not mean that you are cranky. lt does mean you have a tendancy to hold on to things you love, like home and family. Also, because you are sensitive and easily hurt, you protect yourself by retreating into your own private shell . Once you learn to trust someone however, you become warm, understanding and considerate. Hint for the student: Assistant principals are often born under this sign. Students should make it a point to visit their offices tshells?l often to win their trust. LEG july 23 - August 23 Leo, you are a very noble and chivalrous person. Unfortunately you seem a little boastful, mainly because you have such a grand method of doing things. Your favorite place is front and center, an attitude conducive to effective classroom lectures. Like your neighboring sign, Virgo, you turn away from everything which is dishonest, petty, or vulgar. The one thing you sometimes tolerate however, is lyin' . Hint for the student: If your teacher is a Leo, keep your talking to a minimum-he likes to do the talking, so you keep quiet! lf your counselor is a Leo, gently remind him that he should be listening to you and not the other way around!! YIIIRGCCD Xl Q, August 24 - September 23 As a quick witted Virgo, you are a born analyst of people and problems, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. As is characteristic of your sign, you love purity and must always have the plain, unvarnished truth. tExtremists refuse to wear sweaters not made from virgin wooI.J The picture straightener and ashtray emptier of the zodiac, you are sometimes referred to as a nit-picker . But these slanderous folks just don't understand your desire for perfection. Hint for the student: Your Virgo teacher is an extremely tough grader . For best results, pay sharp attention to details in all your assignments.

The Yearbook Staff decided to take a new look at school activities. To make the book fresh and somewhat different, and with the suggestion of professional journalists' associations, the staff added a Special Features section. This section looks outside the school walls to the communities and the nation. The faculty section had traditionally been treated ser- , T iously. As a change of pace, the ' staff decided to have a bit of fun with that section, to add a touch of humor to a characteristically plain section. No one on the yearbook staff took the zodiac seriously and the horoscopes B YEARBOOK: Front Row-J. Pagliai, K. Vassallo, Second Row-L. Fredrickson, T. Bowden, S. Blumenfeld, D. D j Herbert, 1. The book's major change which may not be obvious to the reader is that after five years with losten'sfAmerican Yearbook Company, the staff changed printers to Walsworth Publishing Company. The main reason for the switch was that Walsworth offered better prices on color printing. That made it possible for the staff to afford an opening 4 section of sixteen pages in full color. LII RIA September 24 - October 23 Libra, you would get along very nicely with Superman, since you are a first rate fighter for truth, justice and the American way . Ever seeking fair and just solutions, you always do your best to attack problems with reason and rationality, weighing both sides carefully. Unfortunately, you are so adept at seeing both sides to an argument that actually deciding on a matter becomes a most arduous task. Some Librans are undecided as to which foot they should put down first, so if someone is seen hopping about on both feet at the same time, iand he's not a bird! chances are, he's a Libran! Hint for the student: Since compliments seem to melt Librans, flattery will get you somewhere! iYou'd just better hope that somewhere isn't in Mr. North's office!! SCCDRPIIQ October 24 - November 22 As a native of this sign you are ambitious, intense, energetic, stoical, tenacious and sexy. You are also often accused of being complex, contradictory, revengeful, cynical and cold. This may be true, but at least you're nice about it! Known for keeping your emotions hidden, you maintain self control even when last night's detention kids destroy your classroom. Preferring to maneuver from the background, you often remain unrecognized for your many contributions and accomplishments. Hint for the student: Don't be afraid to bring Scorpio faculty members your difficult problems-they thrive on challenges! lLike curing senioritis with only two Band-aidsf and a little alcohol! S A l'l A U S 5flGll'l l'f-MfQllU5 ,ii mp November 23 - December 21 Adventuresome, chivalrous, daring and zealous, you are an inspiration to your many friends. Luck seems to dog your footsteps and you always manage to pick the winners. tIt's no wonder you're so cheerful, happy and good natured, with a horoscope like this-who wouldn't be?!! Always aiming high for truth and personal freedom, you usually hit your mark, since Sagitarians are real straight shooters . Hint for the student: When choosing topics for a paper or report, keep in mind the fact that Sagitarians are turned on by unfamiliar subjects. FIACULTSJ Cf-MPRIICCDRN December 22 - january 19 lf you have always wondered why you have a recurring wild compulsion to go mountain climbing, don't worry, it is only your Capricorn influence, of course, you would want a ring of nets encircling the mountain since safety is uppermost in your mind. Even though you have these subconscious drives for adventure and romance, on the surface you are very dignified and serious, tending to bury yourself in your work. In fact it has been hinted that Capricorns are often work-a-holics , however, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Capricorn eats tin cans. Hint for the student.'There are two things you shouldn't tell a Capricorn ibesides teasing him about his beardl, and that is: how to drive and how to play baseball. FAQUIARIIUS lanuary 20 - February 19 You never follow the crowd, but love to lead it. Because you have an inspired, inventive mind, and are very active, people are eager to follow you. You are a true humanitarian, determined to solve the problems of the world. No task is too great, no problem too difficult to be overcome by your efforts. Your motto could be nothing is impossible , and in your case the theory truly holds water . Hint for the student: An Aquarian teacher often will put creativity to work fabricating fantastically deep and complicated essay test questions-so BEWARE! Also, since Aquarians love to lead, don't be surprised if your principal was born under this sign! PIISCCS February 20 - March 20 You have an imaginative mind, are naturally creative, and have an artistic flair about you that sets you apart from the other zodiac signs. Besides these many talents, you are very intuitive and are always able to tell if someone is upset or troubled. On the other hand, you also know if they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes, and the students have to get up very early in the morning to get the worm that will hook you. Hint for the student: Though Pisces faculty members will see right through any story you might dream up as an excuse-never hesitate to tell them about a legitimate problem, for generally they're an easy touch for anyone who is troubled.
