Miss Marilyn Lewis, Art 1 and 2 teacher, sponsor of the Marching Pep Squad and the Freshman class, received a B.S. in Art and Technical Theatre at Southwest Mis- souri State. Hobbies are art, fishing, and swimming. Coach Forrest O’Neal teaches Amt ican and World History, and coache football and track. His hobbies i hunting, fishing, and weight liftin, He received a B. S. in Educatio from Southeast Missouri State at a Masters in Education at Missoc University. Miss Wilma Leonard teaches English 2, Speech and Debate. She sponsors the National Forensic League, Thes- pians, and the Sophomore class. She enjoys music, antiques, and a collection of autographed letters. She attended Mis- souri University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mr. Frank Allbright, graduate of SEMO State College with a B.S. in High School Education, teaches Journalism 1, English 1, and is the publications advisor. He is sponsor of Quill and Scroll, and an out- doors man who enjoys hunting, fishing, and sports. Miss Helen Nawn, with special interests in flowers, especially African violets, attended Missouri School of Mines, where she received a B. S. in Education. She teaches English 3 and 4, and sponsors the Junior class. 16

Mr. Ted Lange, English and German teacher, is shown plunking on his ole banjo. He also likes farming, sports. World War II books, military strategy, Dixieland music, and weapons. Ted’s A. B. degree comes from Washington Univer- sity. He sponsors the German Club, Future Teachers of America and the Freshman class. Miss Ella Haas, who enjoys flowers and garden- ing, teaches science and sponsors the Senior class. She received her B. S; from the University of Missouri. Mr. Fred Biere, Jr., a hi-fi sound equipment man, teaches Industrial Arts and sponsors the Shop Club and the Freshman class. His B. S. is from Missouri University and he has some graduate work at Southern Illinois University. Miss Georgia Kidd, the high school librarian, is pictured getting out of her car. Mr. Raymond Pendergrass, a man of many hob- bies, likes oil painting, motorcycle sports car riding, and hi-fi. He teaches American History, Contemporary Problems, and sponsors the Junior class. His B.S. in Education is from Arkansas Sure Teachers College and he holds a Masters from the University of Arkansas.

Completing his first year of teaching at RHS is Coach Paul E. Simmons. Mr. Simmons is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State College where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Edu- cation. Here at school Mr. Simmons teaches social studies and phys- ical education. Miss Jean Garrett, who teaches typing, general business, and geog- raphy, is also a sponsor of the junior class and the Future Busi- ness Leaders of America. Miss Gar- rett received her Master’s Degree from the University of Tulsa. Mr. and Mrs. Dwaine Miles have completed their third year of teach- ing at RHS. Mrs. Miles teaches shorthand, Typing II and secretarial practice. Mr. Miles teaches Social Studies I and is basketball coach. Caught in his spare moments, Mr. J. Arthur Prew'ett, is re- axing from the daily routine of his algebra, solid geometry and trigonometry classes. He has a 1 . S. in Education from Missouri University. Mr. Prewett spon- sors the freshman class. Mr. James R. Smith is shown here in his class- room in the Agricultural Building where he teaches agriculture. He also sponsors the Future Farmers of America and the sophomore class. Mr. Clifford Cromer, Driver's Education in- structor, coaches football and track. He is a physical education major with a Master’s from Washington University and a B.S. from Southeast Missouri State College.
