Mary Smith, Pat Goin, and Kathy Line, now the nation's most outstanding women scientists, had a hard time getting away, but I sec they made it. Rumor has it that they arc about to perfect the first rocket ship to the moon. Professor Leon Crabtree has taken time out from creating his Frankenstein fa mechanical school teacher) to help them, so they will undoubtedly succeed. I see Waymon Johnston and Dottye Haas at the next table. They are two of the nati'on's most industrious people. As you know, Dottye and Waymon are rlow co-owners of the New York Times. I hear loud-speakers blaring out from somewhere. Oh! it's only Carroll Jolly Irishman Snelson, Jack Mad Mohican Nash, and Don Crazy Sam Gaddy. Guess they can't miss a plug for their used car lot any time. They own the largest lot in the United States. In the center of the room there is a large round table at which are seated the greatest farmers in the United States. Two years ago they changed the fate of the country so now the people worship them. They wouldn't give the big business- men anything to eat until they promised to bring prices down. Seated in this dele- gation I see Gene Bingham, Jim Brown. Jim Davis. Merle Feeler, Charles Hargis, Glen Harrell, Lawrence Koerber, Garland Winfrey, Eugene Van Bibber, Paul Spencer, Donald Ragan, and John Moore. Nettie Clift, Jane Havens, and Phyllis Heflin are acting as hostesses for this reunion, and I think they deserve a vote of thanks, as they are giving up their valuable time at their own huge restaurants in Hollywood. All eyes are turned toward the door at those three daring gentlemen, Don Eddy, Norman Johnson, and Lee Malone. They are the first pilots to pass the speed of light without flying to pieces. Our best wishes go out to Pat Lukrofka, Betty Lewis, and Clara Rueppel, who are unable to be here tonight. They have become great missionaries and now are situated in Outer Mongolia, where they are adding much to the civilization of the country. I see Richard Harrison chatting with Delores Jackson and Rosalie Morse. I guess they are talking over tricks of the trade. Dick draws the popular comic strip, Alley Whoop. and Delores and Rosalie are illustrators for that well- known fashion magazine, Sixty-Seven. There are those two eminent professors from Harvard, Jack Jackson and Bob Eshbaugh. Rumor has it that they are about to be transferred to Scotland Yard. Here comes those two enterprising business women, Shirley Snelson and Mary Gay Hornkohl. They bought up all the land between their two farms and turned it into a wild life preserve. Wow! Look at those furs! You don't suppose- no, it's too horrible. On to the next table. It's Colonel Clarence Hodge with those two top sports women, Janer Heavin and Loretta Kinder who have just returned from the 1963 session of the Olympic Games held in Antarctica. My, but they look exuberant. They took only 53 honors.

SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Well, here it is 1963. My, how the years fly-by. It's the reunion of the good old class of '53 here at the Stork Club in New York City. (The S M was rented by some celebrities for the night.) Think I'll meander from table to table and see what I can see. Goodness, what's all the noise ? Oh, I see, Marilyn Whitaker just flew in from her triumphant concert tour with Kathryn Ransom who is running against Honest Abe Fuller in the coming presidential-election. Hear it is going to be a close race. Well, on to the tables. The one I am approaching has a big Sigma Nu Crest on it...wonder who it can be. Oh, it's only Bert Andrews, Pat Cross, and Pat Carlton. They can't forget the good old days. I see Sydney McFarland going over to say hello to them. She is the new' head of General Motors now, you know. Her latest car is a cross between a Cadillac and a Lincoln with a Ford motor in it for economy. I see Clifford Feeler and Joan Burris at another table with Mike Mizell and Glenda Harris. Clifford and Joan jointly own a chain of department stores throughout the United States and Canada. Mike just recently became the new owner of the Conrad Hilton Hotel and Glenda is his private secretary. For the floor show tonight we will be entertained by Ernest Myers, who pushed Johnny Ray out of the limelight, Gloria Heimbaugh who took time out from the Grand Ole Opry to fly up, and Charlie Davis who is now Bob Hope's understudy. Carolyn Grimm just arrived from Paris where she has opened an exclusive shop near the Eiffel Tower. She changed her name to Adrienne. With her is Shirley Vohl who is her head designer. Shirley studied under Jacques Fath. I see JoAnn Carroll, Betty Gallohon, Lucille Reynolds, and Huldah Linville at a table looking quite sophisticated. I hear they have all become movie stars. They were discovered by a scout while working at Carney's Chinese Theater (the Ritz) Their latest picture is Scare-A Mouse”; Huldah was the mouse. Next to their table I see Bob Jackson, Mutt Hayes, and Pat Frost. They look a little haggard They just lost the 1963 Rosebowl game. First time the Bulldogs made it too. . „ . cc I don t see the Three Musketeers of RHS here tonight. That s Bob Shatter- koetter. Bill Wycoff, and Richard Arthur. Guess they couldn't get away. Last I heard of them they were starting on a race across the Sahara desert in their latest souped-up jalopies. Seated at the next table I sec Patti Jacques, Ann Benad and Helen Pruett, those three hard working career women of RHS Patti Jacques is Richard Heag- ler s private secretary. Richard is the newly appointed Secretary of State. Ann is |ohn D. Rockefeller’s private secretary and Helen is currently employed by Ray Miller. Jr. who is president of Harvard University.

Jo Ann Bcarnson is starring in the latest Broadway hit, North Atlantic. I see her over there with Joan Hohlstein, her private secretary and companion. Joan is also her understudy. Joe Stoll and Chub Newton have become the world's richest soda |crks. They are having great fun over there behind the fountain with Sherman Billingsley. The opera must be over. People are streaming in wearing jewels and furs. I see those two famous stars Sandra Snelson and Arlene Anderson now starring in foost written by that great composer, Jack Pruett, Well, what will they think of next! Bird cages on their heads! It's those two weU-known hair stylists for MGM studios, Yvonne Leonard and Betty Ott. There IS a doctor in the house. It is Doctor Ted Smith, who is now head of the Mayo Clinic. He won the Nobel Prize in medicine last year for his great con- tribution to the field, how to extract an eyelash from the human eye with no pain. Hide your eyes, everybody, or you will be blinded. Here come those flashy men of the sports world, Ed Pollard and Jim Penfield. They just drove Grantland Rice right out of existence with their great delivery of the Rolla Bulldogs games. Girls, grab hold of your men. Here come those two famous Powers Models, Niki Allen and Darlene Burrell, attired in the latest plastic formals. They have just returned from their vacations in Bermuda. Allan Marlowe has become a great architect. He recently designed a new United Nations Building. (The last one became obsolete.) He hired those con- tractors, Donald Watt and Charles Hayes. I see the business women are all arriving in a group. I think 1 can sately say that in three more years women will control the world. In this group I see Lillian Weir, Joan O'Malley, Nellie Murphy, Ruby Mace. Mary Cowan, Mary Drew, and Anna Ganaway. I ts the same old success story. These girls started out as hired working secretaries and married their bosses. Today, they rule big business. As I approach the front tables, I see most of the St. Louis Cardinals base- ball team. There’s Eddie Smith, Bob Powell, David Julian, Clyde Thomas, and David Sherrill. For several years the Cardinals had a low streak, but since they got our boys, they have won the World Series for ten consecutive years. llzc Straumanis came back from her native country just for our reunion She has become one of the great educators of Germany. Seated at a large table over here I see those daring women. Eva Snook, Catherine Steele, Betty Stogsdili, Cynthia Tuck, and Cherie Morice They took their little families and bravely started the first colony at the South Pole. At the last table I sec the Honorable Pat Peterson and Joy McCarty. These girls took shorthand at the speed of 200 words a minute and got jobs as court stenographers. They are now justices in the Supreme Court. It s very plain to see that this old world in its bruised and battered state could never have pulled through without the class of '53.
