While Donnie was fixing my car he informed me that Fredrick lived in the next state, which was Wisconsin. So Don decided that he would take a little vacation and ride along with me to see the other students. Don told me he thought Fred Neesell owned a huge dairy farm out in the western part of Wisconsin. Upon inquiring we found the exact location, which was just a few miles northwest of Madison. We noticed in the distance many very large buildings. Upon arriving we read on the barn, 'Fred Heeeell Jr., Dairy Falry'. We arrived ln time for supper and Fred invited us to stay all night. We told him we had to be off early the next morning because we were looking up all the old senior class of 1955. After supper he showed us all his prize possesions. He said that he had to work very hard the last ten years to earn all this. So I asked Fred if he would like to ride along with us. Ee said he thought he needed a vacation so he said he would go. We started off for the Show-He-State, which is Missouri. We were going to look up my old student, Ronnie Lakin. Fred had told me that Ronnie was a salesman at Montgomery Ward in St. Louis. Fred also told me that Ronnie had married the former Barbara Elliott of Hartfond City. we decided we would stop for the night. I stopped to register at a hotel and noticed the name was 'Ross' Eoteln. I wondered if it could be Joan Ross, the student I once had. But when I went inside I noticed a man that looked very familiar to me. Upon inquiring I found out it was Joan's brother Dale. He said he and Barbara had gotten married and were the owners of this hotel. I told hir we were looking up all the old class of 1955. He said Barbara would be very glad to see me, so we went up to our rooms. Later that evening there was a knock at my door and low and behold it was none other than Barbara! To our disappoint- ment Barbara couldn't go along with us to visit the rest of the classmates because of the work that had to be done at the hotel. Aft6P having quite a chat with Barbara, she left and I retired for the night. Early the next morning, I was up and ready to go and, after saying goodbye to Barbara and Dale, we were on our Way. After traveling for miles we finally reached the state of Missouri. We found that Ronnie lived in St. Louis, I went to the store where Ronnie worked, but to my disappointment Ronnie could only spare us a few minutes of his time, for he was working on a big business deal for the company. It seems that Ronnie had been very successful with his work. After telling Ronnie of my intentions, I learned that Joan lived in Colorado. We arrived in Santa Fe where Heroert was stationed the next night. Herbert was on guard duty but would be off in about 5 minutes. So, we desided to wait. When Herbert got off duty we all decided to go eat supper together. Her ert couldn't get a furlough, to our disappointment, but he informed us that Don Martin was in the levy and stationed in 1 San Diego, California. So after telling Herbert farewell and wishing him the best of.luck we were once again on our way. We stopped in Arizona, for the night in the town of Phoenix.
