together, she told him that she started her career as a stewardess four years after graduation. Of course this career meant that she must remain single. However their visit was short, due to the fact that Alvalene had to be on duty for the flight back to Los Angeles, But learning from Alvalene that Betty Lee was now living in New Hampshire he decided that would be his next stop. A short distance from his destination his motor suddenly failed and forced him to land. He started for the nearest farm home and coming in sight ofthe buildings he saw on the barn in large letters, Banter Variety Farm . Of course this meant nothing to him until he approached the woman in the back yard. Then he realized that this was his present destination, for this was Betty Lee Banter. She and Arlan was doing very well on their 500 acre farm where they raised sheep, chickens and cows. They were very happy in their country home with their twin daughters and younger son. After refueling the plane Bob hurried home to see Hartford City High School's first football game of the season. This was an important game because Hartford was the top team in the State of Indiana. However Bob was very disappointed for Hartford was behind all during the game and lost, due to the fact the star player was recently stricken with cupid's darts. After the game was over Bob inquired who this player was. lt seems he had been following close in his father's footsteps in playing football, and his name was .Tim Runyon Jr. As Bob started out the door he saw the boy talking to a lady. He went to them to make inquires and recognized this to be Letha Godfrey, and her son. Bob could not manage to get a word in edgewise as Letha was talking rapidly and angerily, After .Tim returned to the dressing room Bob did get to have a little visit with Letha. She was living in Hartford City and was very happy with Jim, 17 year old Junior, and 15 year old Pamela. She had recently received a letter from her old classmate, Shirley Nessell. She was in Florida where her husband was the main doctor in the Polio Clinic. Since Bob had always wanted to vis it Florida, he decided now was the time. The next morning Bob flew to Miami and got to the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ffoger Frazier in time for their late breakfast. Of course, Mrs. Frazier was the former Shirley Nessell. Shortly after breakfast, Roger had to hurry on to his work at the clinic but Bob was introduced to their two little boys. During their visit Bob asked Shirley if she had taken nurse's training as she had talked of doing while still in high school. She said' she had, but had given it up to raise her family. After saying goodbye to Shirley and her family, Bob went to a restaurant for lunch. While dining he was watching colored TV. The program was an interview with Texas ranchers. However he wasn't paying much attention to the program until he saw a red-headed man who looked familiar. Seeing it -.-.a -, Art Dailey and his ranch partner Tom Shields, he listened for their address and decided to make this his next stop. He got in his jet and went to Dallas where he soon located the Lazy D and S Panch. Sure enough the owners were Art and Tom. At the house Bob learned the men were in the south pasture. Upon arriving at the 711'-NITE' he saw three men. One of them turned out to be the neighbor ' ffher, Bob Gavin, also a student of the class of '52, Whc-n ' IZ

Class Prophecy We take you now to the year 1972. ln the large city of Roll, we bring you to the home of Bob Jackson, retired teacher of Roll High School. He is now owner and operator of the airport in this city. After receiving the great news of becorning grandfather he decides to hunt up his favorite class, that of 1952 and tell them of the great news. .Tust before starting he picked up the ROLL TRIBUNE , and whose name should he see in the headlines but Francis Sheetz, It seems he had just made the first successful trip to Mars and was now in Washington D.C. Could this possibly be the boy that was in the class of '5Z? Deciding to find out, he packed his grip and climb- ing behind the controls of his private jet propelled plane he took off for Washington D.C. Upon landing at the National Airport he made inquiries of the whereabouts of this so called explorer, Learning that he was at' the Capitol Building, Bob manages to push his way through the crowd and finds Francis receiving a medal from the President. In the few minutes that he could have with Francis, he learned that Billy Towne was in Radio City, New York. He was scheduled to start a show that night and Bob decided he could not miss it, So traveling in his plane he arrived in New York a short time later. Upon registering at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel he went to his suite to rest. Due to the loud singing in the suite next to his, he could not rest, so he went to the door and knocked, hoping this would quiet the noise. Who should answer the door but the great Caruso himself in the form of Bill Town-ef Upon entering, he was greeted by Sharron and their 5 children. While talking with Bill, Bob learned that he has signed a 5 year TV. contract beginning tonight with his show at Radio City for which he gave Bob a free ticket. When Bob found his seat at the show, who should be in the seat next to him but Everett Gadbury. Or should we say Rev. Cadbury, because he is now minister of the Little Church Around the Corner here in New York City. This is the church where hundreds of couples go to get married. Also while talking to Everett he learned that though he was married he had kept in contact with his first girl friend at Roll, Betty Knox. She and her husband are missionaries in Brazil, South America. After the show Bob returned to his hotel suite to rest up for his long journey the following day, Next morning, arising with the sun, Bob once more took to the air and headed for South America. Upon arriving in a village in Brazil, he saw a little American girl singing a lullaby to her doll. Thinking she had a resemblance of a certain girl at Roll back in '52, he began talking to her and soon learned that her mother was the former Betty Knox, Because little Linda discovered that Br-b was her mothc-r's forrner teacher through her high school years :ut Roll, she invited hirn to her home. Here he was entertained very royalty .nd had it very enjoyable visit. Betty had lived here in Brazil for the past 14 years. Of course she had completed her four years of college first, B-i-tty told Bob that she had kept in touch with Alvalene all these years. After getting the address he headed for the Philippine Islands which was Al'.v.lene's. home, After landing ,he saw a new type of passengcr plane coming in and waited to see it land. After several passengers clinibed out the at-weird: f.m-,rr down the steps. Nuclw to his surprise she 'startedtOw1rril'ni 1. rt-c ognized her to be Alvrilem-, the girl he was huntii, HF' , J1- 11

nearing them, Bob heard loud voices. It seems they were arguing whose cows were whose because, true to their name they were too lazy to brand their 3,000 cattle and 1,000 horses, as they didn't think they would stray off of the 4,999 acre ranch. Seeing they had a visitor the arguing ceased, and recognizing who it was, they gave him a very hearty welcome. While talking to him they said, Maybe we get our cattle mixed, but we can keep the 17 kids separated by the color of their hair and the size of their ears. Hearing hoof beats they noticed a little red-headed boy coming toward them to announce supper. After enjoying the evening with Tom and Art, Bob went to spend the night with Bob Gavin. Next morning after bidding them adieu, Bob headed for Arizona because he learned from the boys that Diamond Cook was in the oil well business here. After some difficulty he located Diamond shouting with joy as he had just struck an oil vein, Diamond was very glad to see his former teacher and had a nice visit with him. However he had to get to work on his new well so Bob hurried on. Bob had once heard of a C. V. Kellogg Gun Factory in Ontario, Canada and wondered if it could be the Charles Kellogg he had in school back in '52, Since Bob had the time and was also very curious about this name, he decided it wouldn't hurt anything to fly up there and see, It was noon when Bob was over the state of Montana and he decided he would eat now and then fly on to Canada. He landed and went into town to a restaurant. Leaving the restaurant Bob saw a lady coming out of a Department Store who he thought looked familiar. It was none other than Wilma Sharp and daughter: Talking to Wilma for a few minutes he learned that she and Franklin had a ranch here in Montana and were raising beef cattle which they bought soon after Franklin graduated. They were very happy here with their three children. SO after telling Wilma the good news of his being grand- father, and bidding her goodbye, Bob went on his way to Ontario, The workers were leaving the factory when Bob arrived, One of the workers spoke to Bob and he ask the worker who owned the factory. Upon hearing that it was Charles Kellogg Bob asked if he knew whether Mr. Kellogg had come from Indiana and the man said he did and told Bob where he could find Charles, Entering the office Bob saw Charles sitting behind a desk with his feet propped upon it. Charles was quite surprised and happy to see Bob and they had a nice visit. Bob learned from Charles that Dwight Mclntire was over in Hawaii. So saying goodby to Charles, Bob headed for Hawaii, While passing over Alaska Bob noticed some gold mines and since he had always wanted to see how they mined gold, he decided he had time to stop. As he approached, a truck loaded with gold was just leaving and who Should be behind the wheel but Cody Cook? Cody had his own trucking firm and hauled the gold from the mines to the near-by cities. He was just ready to start on a trip and invited Bob to make the trip with him, so Bob accepted. They had quite an enjoyable visit. When Bob told Cody that he was going to Hawaii to see Dwight, Cody asked to go along and Bob said he would be glad for the company. Returning to the mine, they went to Bob's plane and headed for Hawaii. 13
