CLASS HISTORY Our days as the crew on the satellite Rocket, began in the fall of 1946. On the first stage twenty- nine eager youngsters reported to their superior officer -- Miss Ina Peterson. Crew members consisted of: Suzan Vaughan, Tommy T jelmeland, Betty Jane Bomberger, Keith Twedt, Gilbert Larson, Betty Weltha, Edward Twedt, Donna Eggland, Wayne Morgan, Linda Christian, John Shold, Karen Erickson, Roger Egg- land, Marlene Bergland, Loren Tjernagel, Earl Sime, Glenda Strum, Duane Hovick, Barbara Christian, Ronald Twedt Jane Anderson Dennis Weltha Richard Thompson Donald Sondall Sandra Eggland George Hovland Sandra Smith Tommy Christian and Donald Strum. Miss Peton guided us on the second lapse of the Journey Donald Strum Sandra Smith Betty Weltha transferred to a different satellite but Darralin Stone Joined us During the third stage of flight Mlss Anna Harriet Twedt gave us orders This part of our Journey left our crew depleted as Glenda Strum Darralm Stone, John Shold Marlene Bergland, and Tommy Tlel meland bailed out. As we advanced to the fourth leg of the trip with Miss Hoff as commander Gordon Fisher signed in and David Bhend and Kenneth Duff were w1th us for a short time. Entering the fifth stage the personnel of our crew remained unchanged under the leadership of Miss Alfseike. Miss Charlson conducted us through the sixth lap of our venture. Dianne Truman came to Jom the members of the Rocket crew We were led by Miss Aasland in the seventh division of flight Terry Twedt and Joyce West became fellow crew members In the eighth step the manpower of our satellite was increased with the addltion of Kent Lage Myrl Anderson David Bhend ,Tim Gardmer Ronald Boyington and Gaylord Hovde. We were piloted by Miss Schott. A higher standard of travel was begun as we approached the final four stages of flight In the fresh man portion of our journey David Bhend left us in the sophomore portion we lost the services of Ronald Boyington. As we moved into the semi final branch we lost crew members Joyce West MyrlAnderson Dick Thompson and Jun Gardner Marles Thompson transferred to our satellite.
