CLASS WORK Mrs. Townsend’s Typing I class is always eager to hear her fa- vorite words, “Hands in position, type.” Mrs. Humphrey’s Tailoring Class is observing the rules in cutting out a coat. JUNIOR HIGH CHORUS The Junior High Girls made instruments which was half of their nine weeks grade. They had to start from scratch and make an instrument that not only looks like one but makes a noise like one. The Junior High Boys Chorus gives young people of this age group experience in learning to read music and learning to sing in parts. 40 STUDENT COUNCIL Student Council The primary function of the Student Council is to serve as a link between the administration and students. It is general coordinator for all student activities. The Student Council sponsored a theme contest and bought Christmas candy for all the students. The mem- bers are: President, Debbie Beaty; Vice-President, Charlie Day; Secre- tary-treasurer, Jo Ann Younger; Rep- resentatives, Marvin Boy ; Bonita Heavener, Micki Wood and Greg Roberts; Advisor, Mr. Eubanks. Debbie Goines; Vice-Presi- dent, Randy Wilson. LIBRARY CLUB The Library Science Class has completely set up the High School Library in our new building. The Art Club illustrated the twelve days of Christmas for the Christmas Program and put posters to boost the ballgames in the halls. 42 Instructor—Mrs. Mitchell SENIOR FACES CLASS OFFICERS Harlan McLemore serves as Senior Class prexy with Linda McKinney, Sec.-Tres.; and Donald Brock, Vice-President. ‘‘Dollars Project” is the Senior’s Candy Store that was started to raise money for their Senior trip. The Board of Directors are: Mary Harrell, Jerel Driscoll, Glen Czarnikow, and Charlie Day. Pretty Faces are those of our Senior, Debbie Beaty and former Senior, Cheryl Ewing, who won the title of out-of- town Queen at the Arkansas-Oklahoma Rodeo. Naomi Gil- ves her : n make-up : Ronnie Donald Brock, Charlie Day, and Roger Vaughan are in Chemistry making up a batch of “corn whiskey”. - These faces look serious as they take their Nine Weeks Economics Test. MISS R.H.S. DEBBIE BEATY Debbie was selected by popular vote on lead- ership, good looks, and scholarship (by making semester honor roll). The following is a list of her accomplishments: All conference two years, honor society two years, student of Today Award, four merit awards, most popular, best looking, most athletic two years, 1967-68 bas- ketball maid, 1968-69 football maid, 1968-69 basketball queen, vice-president of student council, president of student council, and 1969- 70 football maid. MR. R.H.S. JERRY EFURD Jerry was selected by popular vote on leader- ship, good looks, and scholarship (by making semester honor roll). SPEECH CONTESTANTS FFA IN ACTION Land Judging 1968-69 The Land Judging team took first place in the district at Sallisaw. They entered a district contest in Tulsa in March 1970. HIGH RANGERS 1969-70 GRADE SCHOOL RANGERS JR. HIGH RECEIVE LETTERS FROM COACH TRAW AT SPECIAL ASSEMBLY POTEAU—Roland has been a very successful high school team. They have managed, in a very young history of playing football, to win the conference and to be declared the winner in first round competition in class B Oklahoma football playoffs for the state championship.
