Rogue River High School Presents The Dedication We, the annual staff of '59, do dedicate this Ro-Hi-An to Mrs. Altha LeRoy and Mr. Walter L. Perry for their untiring efforts in making our school life more pleasant, and for their sincere and personal interest in each student's welfare. We will not only remember them as wonderful teachers, but also as kind and understanding friends. 2 Table of Contents PRESENTATION...................1 DEDICATION.....................2 FACULTY........................4 SCHOOL EMPLOYEES...............6 CLASSES........................3 ORGANIZATIONS.................26 ACTIVITIES....................40 ATHLETICS.....................58 ADVERTISING 69 Administration and Faculty MR. We also had a candy apple sale to raise money for our Skip Trip. The car that was donated to the class by Lawrence Martin for raffling during the M. O. D. Drive proved successful as we won the drive. The other classes gave us a very nice Soc Hop for winning except that we bought our own refreshments and they forgot to pay us their dollar apiece for losing. Looked forward to all year by our class was the Senior Skip Trip in which we went to Shasta Lake in California. Everyone rented boats and we had boat drags and water fights, plus driving the man who owned the dock half out of his mind! Our advisors and Mr. Harr went with us and we came back a very sunburned, tired, but happy group. Climaxing our year was graduation and many of us had sad faces as our graduating class of '59 was together for the last time in Rogue River High School. As we leave, we wish to thank the faculty members and all others who have helped us gain knowledge to face the future on our own. Sophomores This year the sophomore class returned to school looking forward to their second year in high school. During the Christmas season Yuletide logs were made and sold. In the Teens Against Polio drive, our candidate for the queen of the March of Dimes, Pat Grabowski, received the most donations and was designated queen. This made the second year in a row that the class of '61 won this queen contest. In addition, our class sponsored some soc-hops, had a car wash and sold sno-cones at noon and at the Rooster Crow, all in expectation of a successful and prosperous junior year and the best prom ever ! 18 Mrs. Le Roy Cecil Allen Geraldine Anderson Larry Anderson Philip Archer I Ann Cordes Diana Davidson Emmett Blackman Earl Bowen Judy Cowie Kinley Daily Dennis Chancier Dale Damon Dean De Vore Clara Fitzner Maryeda Frost Terry Gail Pat Grabowski Sherry Heckert Sharon Hoyt Valerie Kamberg Jerry Kite Ronnie Laws Jeff Le Roy Dana McBarron Deni Mehlhoff Mallory Lynch Pat Milton John Machado Dianne Mock Not Shown Eugene Russell Bennie Stalker Gerry Van Dorn Ronald Wilson Mary Powell Doug Reed Barbara Salter Nelda Schultz Gene Van Dorn Kathy Simer Arlene White Jean Stiehl Denny White Geriann Sukow Joan Wierzbinski Freshman Class Officers: L-R.
