The highlight of the year for the class was the junior play Under Twenty , presented on March 11, in the High School gym. It was an outstanding production from start to finish dealing with a family who has to put up with the antics of two lively teenagers. The officers elected for the Class were: Larry McBee, President; David Hammett, Vice president; Marilyn Williamson, Secretary; Betty Simmons, Treasurer. The year was climaxed by the Junior-Senior Banquet and Ball which was held at the Grants Pass Country Club on May 6. The days of '49 was the theme carried throughout the entire banquet. Miniature covered wagons were Qf e°ch place along with memory booklets containing a menu of western vittles and a program studded with colorful wild west names for the participants. Songs included on the program were Wagon Wheels , Gold Mine In The Sky , Betsy From Pike and Tumbling Tumbleweeds . The long-awaited affair was greatly enjoyed by the Juniors and their guests, the Seniors and Faculty.
