JAMES GORDON KELLOGG Born — March 22, 1933 Died — August 25, 1951 Before that August morning Jim Kellogg ' s life was before him just as anyone else ' s of his age- Jim was planning for his future with all the hope of any youth. But unlike the other June graduates he teas not given a chance to prove himself. In place of Jim there is now only a memory that remains. With the act of death comes a thought of mind. Why should a memory replace laughter, happiness and life? It is not even equal to the joy of life. But because there is a memory, a pause xcill be in the hearts of many graduates of 1952. Hut let this be a quick pause, for Jim would want it no other -way. Jim -would not want you to suffer just as He did not want Jim to suffer and gave him a sudden death. An empty space at baccalaureate and in the hearts of this graduation class is reserved for Jim. A pleasant fello-w -with a cheery smile was removed from our midst by his Maker and can be with us only in memory at this time.
