They were Thelina Hatenian, Ksther .John- son and Elsie Zerbst. The boys were Glen Pebles, Forrest Burgess, Kenneth Knowlton and Lorn Wallace. No officers were elected in the fall of 193(5 as class organizations were replaced by the home room system. Those who have been officers of the class are as follows: Freshmen B — Thelma Bateman. president, Jack Fachon, rice-president; Marian Renfro. secretary-treasurer; Maxine Elliot, student council; Robert Dunn, yell leader. JANUARY COMMENCEMENT With Bill Campbell as toastmaster, Rogers ' January graduating class held a mythical banquet, January 2(5. as the theme of their graduation excer- cises. Toasts were given by various members of the graduating class. Tableaux and skits were presented to emphasize the thoughts of the speakers. Miss Hazel Stevens supervized the production. Addresses were also given by Valedictorian Frank Thiry and Saluta- torian Flin Valsvig. JUNE COMMENCEMENT The June Commencement exercises, presented by the special English 8 class under the direction of Ray G. Hubbard, depicts high school scenes recalling the past. The 1937 Pageant portrays scenes of students who. under correct guidance, are persuaded to take subjects which will be best suited to their individual requirements.
