Academically The Climb Lampley Wins S750 For WTVG Editorial Junior Cindy Lampley. Senior Steve McCarty. Seniors Vicky Yorke and Steve McCarty brought honor to Rogers this year when they were chosen by Frank Venner of WTVG to air their student editorials. Sharing the spotlight was Sandy Williams, junior co-edi- tor of the RAMPAGE. All three editorials were submitted by Ms. Long. 10 Cindy Lampley, last year's co-editor of the RAMPAGE and this year's lay-out edi- tor, won first prize of S750 from WTVG for her student editorial called Main- streaming of Handicapped Students which aired last spring. Athletically They Shine Lift-A-Thon Champ, Track Star Marsha Nix, a senior who has been on the Girls' Track team for the past three years, ran her heart out along with team members Uoenette Grant, Darla Miller and Marcea Murrayj to win the 400 meter relay event, breaking the State meet re- cord of 47.6 seconds. Although she is affectionately called Mighty Mouse by her friends, eating is a major hobby or hers, along with meeting new people, singing, and jogging in her bedroom. She is currently a treasurer of OEA in her Sen- ior Clerk-Typist Class. After graduation she plans to major in business communications. Brian Sickelbaugh, a senior, has brought hon- or to Rogers this year by capturing the title of the 1981 Lift-A-Thon Champ with a winning prees of 250 lbs. Brian has been working out a Vic Tanny for 3 years on a basic building program. The program builds size as well as strength, his mea- surements are 45 32 28 . He works mostly on upper body for 2V2 hours doing incline-fly with dumbbell and working back triceps and biceps. Brian is on a normal diet with protein supple- ments. His other hobbies include beer collecting, cooking and golf. He is also into wrestling, base- ball and football. After graduation Brian plans to attend nursing school, and get his doctors de- gree. He also plans to do professional body build- ing on the side.
