The aim of the department is to acquaint students with the language, customs, and culture of foreign lands. The teachers of these languages also act as advisors to the R.H.S. language clubs. In these organizations the ' teachers attempt to carry out the culture and customs which they teach during the school hours. All college bound students are required to study at least two years of a foreign language upon college admittance.
