HHey spiderheadll' yelled a rowdy cluster of excited seniors as the referee made one more bad call at the Rogers vs. Elston game, while Pep Band members led the ever famous t'Repeat what I sayl' cheer. Soon Mrt Alber would find his way to the student section and lead the always inspiring 'tgimme an R cheer. Although these vocal displays of spirit are a great asset at basketball games, they are by no means the only displays of spirit from loyal Raider tans. Students decorated class trucks during homecoming and halls during basketball season to show class spirit Cheerleaders went to great heights on their mounts while Raiderettes went to great depths working on a dance routine for w The mighty class of tt85 cheers during the Homecoming parade Debra Pudlo. Wendy Gatz, Juli Linton and Tammy Link initiate spirit tor the lUHIOl' class at the Homecoming pep session haltatime. Raider Boosters baked cakes and brownies to support our athletic teams. Pep club members decked the gym with banners that suggested dewous action toward rival teams. There was still another side to the true Raider spirit. lt was the Silent determination of athletes as they spent seemingly endless hours at practice. just to find the game was cancelled, not to mention the patience of all the moms who kept dinner warm. It was the dedication of class sponsors who gave up nights and weekends to help their class. It was the teacher who cared enough to make Joe Jock study for his finals. And of course the This is Raider Country spirit within each of these that never diedt Spirit 11
