uYou want me to talk about fashion? Illl tell you about fashion. One day I was walking down the street when this person started waving her arms at me like a plane ready for take-off. Well, it didn,t take much for me to notice her. The girl was wearing a skirt that musta had at least five yards of wool. I became hypnotized watch- ing her burgundy body swish-a-this way and swish-a-that way. I donit know how she could swish so much in the shoes she wore. The heels were those little spiky things, you know, like nails growing out of your feet. I didnit realize it was someone I knew until she spoke my name. llWhereld ya get the fancy duds'.w I asked her. She slurred off a designeris name-Kal- vin Clug or something like that. llOne time I was in Otis with my mom to buy shoelaces for my tennies, you know, the tan suedes with orange trim . . . ll But before I could finish, she disappeared to show off her llbeautifulll clothes. So, I kept walking down the street mind- ing my own business like before. All of a sudden, I saw a girl with big, baggy trou- sers, a bow-tie and even suspenders. It had to be Diane Keaton. I saw the movie llAn- nie Hall seven times. The third time I went, there was a man sitting in front of me with one single solitary strand of hair that stuck straight up in the air. He made Diane look like she had a mustache. Anyway, I yell, ilMiss Keaton! Miss Keaton! Can I have an autograph? When this girl turned around, I knew it wasnlt Diane Keaton because she really did have a mustach - a big, fuzzy black caterpillar-like growth above her lip.
