Dedieatien To Superintendent B. L. Kirksey in appreciative recognition of his service in raising the standards of our school, of his tireless energy in serving every member of it, and of his interest in the progress of its students, we dedicate this volume of the Mountaineer , W uperintemlent' Message We are very happy to have lived for several years in the Ozark region in Arkansas, where there are four distinct seasons. Summer, autumn, winter, and spring. Where the summer is iust hot enough to make us enioy the beautiful fall revue and where the winter is just cold enough to make us appreciate the won- derful Ozark spring. ln these valleys and on these mountains and plateaus, we have found people from every state in the Union. People who are industrious, frank and friendly. During our stay here we have worked with a splendid school board in a school system that has a friendly atmosphere. Where the students accept new students for what they are and not for what their ancestors might have beeng where cliques and clans are almost non-existent, where faculty members are loyal and easy to meet: where students consider the faculty members as their friends and advisors. This large student body is a compliment to the school and the community. l regret that l do not know each individual better. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve with you this year. The sponsors and staff are to be complimented on their splendid attempt to record in this Mountaineer, the history of your high school for the year 1951-52. Sincerely Yours, B. L. KIRKSEY S lu' 'su
