Art Club Gives Spirit The 1978-79 Art club had for its officers this year presi- dent, Nancy Miller; Lori Lonki, vice president; and Joann Babcock, secretary-treasurer. Meeting regularly in the Art room every Monday, they worked on such projects as silk- screening, and designing a Rogers High School pennant which was sold to the student body. Some of the members were involved in decorating the courtyard for Christmas. Other activities that the members were involved in were an art club project sale, taking a trip to the Rockford art shops, and assigning an art league to set up a spring exhibit. Hawk Talk ' Sports Professional Look Hawk Talk has its second successful year with the help of added members, along with old faithfuls. The staff again produced a professional looking paper each month, with Nancy Farmer acting as Editor. The reporters worked hard on each issue, with special recognition going to Brian Uitvlugt and Mario Leon. Tweedledee and Tweedledum Say cheese everyone.

The 1978-79 FCA which met every two weeks at either a member ' s home or the home of Mr. Barber, was involved in many interesting activities. These activities included the sponsoring of Christmas gifts and a party for the inmates at the Kent County Sheriff ' s Honor Camp, attending the Pete Carlson Music Concert, attending the Western Michi- Athletes Have Fellowship gan vs Marquette basketball game, and seeing the MSU vs Syracuse football game. The officers of this year ' s Fellow- ship of Christian Athletes were President, Doug Vander- Meer, Vice President; Skip Lockyear, Treasurer; Joni Hen- derson, and Secretary, Lisa Barber. The group relaxes at Mr. Baber ' s. Scintillating conversation.
