Hawk Talk ' Sports Professional Look Hawk Talk has its second successful year with the help of added members, along with old faithfuls. The staff again produced a professional looking paper each month, with Nancy Farmer acting as Editor. The reporters worked hard on each issue, with special recognition going to Brian Uitvlugt and Mario Leon. Tweedledee and Tweedledum Say cheese everyone.

Close Encounters of the Political Kind The 1978-79 Close-Up club, in preparation for their annual trip to Washington, D.C., attended the local Close-Up program, where local and country issues were discussed, and the state Close-Up Program in Lans- ing where state issues were viewed. A group of Close-Up representatives flew to Washington, D.C. where they attended workshops, seminars, and listened to speakers on subjects of national and international interest. Art Club Gives Spirit The 1978-79 Art club had for its officers this year presi- dent, Nancy Miller; Lori Lonki, vice president; and Joann Babcock, secretary-treasurer. Meeting regularly in the Art room every Monday, they worked on such projects as silk- screening, and designing a Rogers High School pennant which was sold to the student body. Some of the members were involved in decorating the courtyard for Christmas. Other activities that the members were involved in were an art club project sale, taking a trip to the Rockford art shops, and assigning an art league to set up a spring exhibit.
