Varsity Excels Tournaments The 1978-79 Varsity Baseball Team hit top form this season when they batted in a super record of 10-10. The team also received recognition when Andy Vavere won the All-Confer- ence award and Ted Beardsley was voted Most Valuable Player. Other leading performers on the team accomplished high batting averages with Andy Vavere averaging .375. The team really came to life at the end of the season as they scored well in tournament play. Part of their suc- cess came as the result of their annual Florida spring training. 1978-79 Varsity Baseball Team The gruesome twosome.

Golfers Gain Experience The 1978-79 Girls Golf Team con- sisted of a young group that gained much experience during the season. Sophomore Jeanne Borgeld was voted as Most Improved player and Jamie Chilver, also a sophomore, received Most Valuable Player.
