Varsity Volleyball The 1978-79 Varsity Volley- ball Team established many new records this year. Dinah Bigelow. i-n addition to being one of three captains, received an All-Conference award and set new records for bumps, spikes, and free hits. Another of the captains. Marcia Blouw. broke the old record of 102 serves with 109 of her own. Beth Fahnenstiel. the third cap- tain, and Karen Kinney also contributed greatly to the team effort. Junior Varsity Volleyball Thel978-79 J.V. Volleyball Team had a building season, learning the basic techniques and improving their own skills. Their coach this year was Miss Miller, and some of the most outstanding players were Paula Martin. Tina Schwartz, and Julie Tanous. The 1978-79 |.V. Although they never lost by very many runs, the Hawks ' spectacu- lar victories included a 33-8 smear over West Ottawa and a 23-7 win over Rockford. I don ' t want to clean up this mess!
