Vmtty BasebcM FaskUmS Successful Q xsow Once again the Varsity Baseball Team spent spring training in Florida and as a result had an outstanding season with a 16- 6 record. This year ' s captain was senior shortstop and ace hitter Don Kinney. According to Coach Norgrove this team was different from others because they were smarter, faster, more consistent and more mature than most. All Conference players were: Tim Carrel, designated hitter; Bob Ketteman, second base; and John Figueroa, outfield. Two new records were established: (1) season batting average .417 set by Bob Ketteman; (2) 1 1 double plays made during the season. J BasebcM Tw»— •Vustkts This year ' s JV Baseball Team was coached by Mr. Reed. Although the season record wasn ' t impressive (4-15) the team had a tremendous attitude and always hus- tled. Captains for the team were Jeff Hud- son and Dan Tompkins, while Andy Vavere was moved up to varsity at mid-season. Leading the hitting attack was Kurt Beadle and the defense was sparked by Dan Tomp- kins and Norman Shippy. Beadle watches, while he waits What a short-stop!
